Zambia is situated in the eastern part of Angola and southern corner of Africa. At 752,618 sq km, Zambia is the world’s 39th largest country. Zambia is home to several distinct geographic regions, partly corresponding to the provincial groups.
Zambia’s capital Lusaka has a population of 1.8 million. Major cities beside the capital city include Victoria Falls, Livingstone and Mpulungu. Zambia shares its border with Angola, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. Construction, copper mining, textiles and horticulture industries generate revenue for Zambia. Cotton, corn rice, sorghum along with livestock also provide boost to the economy of the area.
